Between 10.30am and 1pm on Saturday 29 September, the library will be hosting a Big Coffee Morning to raise funds for MacMillan Cancer Support. The event is part of the charity’s annual “World’s Biggest Coffee Morning”, this year celebrating its twenty fifth birthday.

There will be delicious homemade cakes and refreshments on offer, plus a selection of good quality books for sale and a chance to win prizes in the Kinver Community Library raffle.

Entry is free, but support will be much appreciated via collecting boxes stationed around the library, ready to receive donations. All monies raised will be going to this very worthwhile cause.

Bring your friends and get together for a birthday celebration. We are aiming to beat the £300 raised at the event last year.

A reminder of where the monies go:

MacMillan Cancer Support grew out of one individual, Douglas MacMillan’s commitment to supporting people with cancer. He founded the charity in 1911 and in 2017 it was estimated that some 1.6 million people received support from one or more of the charity’s professionals or services.

From the moment of diagnosis, throughout treatment and beyond, this amazing charity provides support, expert advice and inspiration to all people impacted by cancer. This would not be possible without the generosity of supporters, who, through their fundraising, are helping to change so many lives.
