Local artist and jewellery-maker Gilly Page is planning her next creative workshop for the forthcoming half-term holiday. Her previous events have been very popular and participants have conjured up some stunning projects during the fun-packed mornings.
Following the success of a previous adult creative scrapbooking session, Gilly will this time guide children through the interesting process. The workshop takes place on Friday 23rd February from 10am until 12 noon, and is guaranteed to be both industrious and fun. Gilly says: “Children will have the chance to create a story or theme which is very personal to them. First and foremost I encourage creative use of materials, photographs, keepsakes and where appropriate the written word to make each individual scrapbook.”
Gilly will bring a selection of decorative materials, pens, glue, double sided tape, paper and card but participants are also encouraged to bring with them any personal items they’d like to include. So if your son or daughter would like to discover how to produce a unique scrapbook to treasure, why not sign up? The workshop is geared toward primary age children but older ones are equally welcome.
The workshop costs £5 per person and booking is essential – call into the library or phone us on 01384 872348.
