There’s an opportunity for children to explore their creativity at free workshops being run by author and poet Mel Woodend during the morning of Monday 13 August at Kinver Community Library.

The first session, from 10am to 10.45am, is aimed at three to six-year olds. Mel will be reading from her debut children’s story “Tails of a Little Brown Mouse” and will then lead an activity for children to colour-in characters from the book to take home.

Between 11am and noon, the focus is on creative writing for seven to eleven-year olds. Mel will be encouraging children to use their imagination and develop their writing skills, taking inspiration from her book.

Places are free, but booking is essential, either in person at the library or by calling 01384 872348.
