We are hosting a Creative Poetry Workshop with author and poet Mel Wardle Woodend between 7pm and 9pm on Wednesday 15 May at the Library.
Here’s your chance to get creative and write your own colour poem! Mel will help you explore how colours make you feel and how these emotions can be expressed through poetry.
This free workshop will focus on how our colour choices and creative work can reflect our moods. Mel will also discuss traditional uses of colour imagery in literature and how poetry can provide a creative therapy.
The “Colour of Feelings” workshop is based on Mel’s poetry collection “Natural Colours”, which was published in 2017. Signed copies of the collection will be available at the event.
Register for the workshop by contacting Mel directly on 07581 244393 or at firstname.lastname@example.org. You can also book at the library on 01384 872348.
