National Volunteers Week is just around the corner and Kinver Community Library is kicking off with a special celebration taking place between 10am and 12.30pm on Saturday 1 June, at the library in Vicarage Drive.
Here’s an opportunity to meet some of the numerous organisations that thrive in the local community, offering a wide range of activities, services and support around the area. Voluntary groups will be exhibiting and will be on hand to provide further information on all the great things they achieve for local people.
If you are interested in volunteering, in whatever capacity, or simply interested in community activities in general, you can find out more about the diverse opportunities on offer. The event aims to be friendly and fun, with free refreshments.
However, there is no pressure to volunteer if you attend the event. The dozens of people who make things happen in so many different ways, by giving their time for free, would simply love to celebrate their achievements with you on this special day.
Volunteers Week runs from 1 to 7 June and is a national celebration of all the fantastic contributions made by millions of volunteers across the UK. It’s an opportunity to celebrate volunteering in all its diversity. Volunteering is a fulfilling way to give back to the community and helping others makes you feel great in return. Come along to Kinver Community Library and show your support.
