We are hosting a Children’s Creative Poetry Workshop with author and poet Mel Wardle Woodend between 10.30am and 11.30am on Monday 19 August at the Library.

The workshop is part of the Library’s Summer Reading Challenge, which this year has a space theme. Mel will be introducing Little Brown Mouse and friends, who are aiming to stow away on a space rocket. Children will then produce a poem of their own to imagine what happens on the journey.

This free workshop will introduce children to features of poetry and is suitable for ages seven to eleven. Signed copies of the book “Tails of a Little Brown Mouse” will be available on the day.

Booking is essential, so please register for the workshop by contacting Mel directly on 07581 244393 or at melwoodendwriting@gmail.com. You can also book at the library on 01384 872348.
