We are offering something a little different to entertain children this half-term. Professional harpist, music therapist and teacher Helen Barley is holding a free harp session for children aged seven to nine years on Monday 28 October at the library.

This is very much a “hands-on” experience, with no musical knowledge or skills required. The participants will be taught to play by colour. Children will experience this amazing instrument for themselves and discover the joy of making their own music. The session aims to be great fun for all!

The recommended age range is over seven years up to nine, but slightly older children can also come along. The session runs from 10.30 am to noon and parents or guardians are welcome to stay with their children if preferred.

Places are limited, so please get in touch with the library on 01384 872348 to book a place.
