We’re all too familiar these days with the expression ‘stay safe’ in the sense of our health, but do you also want to stay safe from scams? Even though we cannot yet meet in the library itself, Andrew Beecroft from Natwest Bank will be giving an informative ‘Friends Against Scams’ presentation for us, online via Zoom, to highlight the many ways in which we are vulnerable in our everyday lives – online, on the phone and on the doorstep. The event takes place on Thursday 18th March at 2pm.

Andrew’s previous sessions at the library have been very well received and provided great advice for all of us, even those amongst us who consider ourselves “savvy”. Scams are becoming more and more sophisticated, so it is easy to let your guard down. Forewarned is forearmed!

The presentation, which is suitable for all ages, will last about 45 minutes, with an opportunity to ask questions. All you’ll need is an internet connection to your computer, laptop, tablet or phone, and an email address to which Andrew will send you the necessary link. Please contact him direct at andrew.beecroft@natwest.com to book your place. From the comfort of your own home you’re also welcome to serve yourself refreshments!
