Kinver Community Library will be reopening at 10am on Tuesday 6 April following the winter lockdown. Service will resume on a restricted basis with strict COVID measures in place, offering Order & Collect and Return only during coming weeks.

The Library will open on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 10am to 1pm and there will be no public access to the building. Borrowers can return books to the rear entrance, using a one-way system – with no fines incurred for overdue books – and can also collect pre-ordered books at the door. Only pre-ordered books will be issued. Ordering is simple, by calling 01384 872348 or by completing an order form, available from the Library team. Requests can also be made via the online catalogue at

For the immediate future, computer and copying services will not be available and there will be no access to toilet facilities.

Library Chairman Paul Wooddisse said: “We are thrilled to be open for business once more, after the long winter months of lockdown. It will be brilliant to see friends old and new at our door, but please stay safe and adhere to social distancing measures. We aim to offer a safe and efficient service for our community, with a warm welcome.”
