This half-term we welcome back professional harpist, music therapist and teacher Helen Barley, who is holding a free harp session for children aged seven to nine years on Wednesday 27 October in the library.
This is very much a “hands-on” experience, with no musical knowledge or skills required. The participants will be taught to play by colour. Children will experience this amazing instrument for themselves and discover the joy of making their own music. The session aims to be great fun for all!
The recommended age range is over seven years up to nine, but slightly older children are also welcome. The session runs from 2.30pm to 4pm and parents or guardians are welcome to stay with their children if preferred.
Places are free but limited, so please get in touch with the library on 01384 872348 to book a place. Advance booking essential.
